February 1998

Scott Mavis founded Mavis MeterMax in the dryer room of his grandpa Duane Mavis. The building is still standing today and the location is recognized as an Ohio Century Farm!

January 1999

Mavis MeterMax outgrew the dryer room and business moved to Scott’s garage. Planters were pulled into the garage and the family had to share the space.

July 2005

It was time for Mavis MeterMax to get its own building. Scott Mavis built a shop and the business moved to its current location on Wonderly Road.

February 2010

Technology had advanced! Mavis MeterMax went from using the original Precision Planting Belt Test Stand to the current MeterMax Ultra Test Stand.

May 2014

Offices and a Meter Room were added onto the Mavis MeterMax shop, which is now the current setup. Scott’s kids also started helping out as the business continued to grow.

August 2020 – Now

Mavis MeterMax was recognized through Precision Planting for Top % Sales Growth in 2020 for Michigan/NW Ohio Region. We have also received the Outstanding Sales Achievement every year since 2020.
